Professional Development Certificate Program

The certificate program, offered by SaFETi (School and Family Engagement Training Institute) to family facing professionals, provides an opportunity to learn the current research on family engagement, acquire skills and competencies aligned with NAFSCE “Family Engagement Core Competencies” (National Association for family, School, and Community Engagement) and connect it all to applied work with diverse families and communities.

The certificate program integrates interactive, reflective and experiential learnings. Experiential learning requires reflective process to connect between one’s own experiences and the theoretical learning. The ability to reflect on one’s practice is an important skill essential for professional growth.
